Watching multiple live tv channels at once (Picture in Picture/Side by side)

I would love to see some type of Picture in Picture, or Side by Side to watch two (or more) OTA channels at once. I think it’s a pretty common occurrence during sports season. At the very least, a QUICK way to switch back and forth between two channels without needing to wait for the buffer would be nice too.

Yes please. I think the fact that this is something that Plex could totally do is what sets Plex apart from all of the other competitors. We know they can push out great features, right now there is no way to have a “Last Channel” button, and frankly using the guide or Apple TV drop down menu to switch between channels takes so long because of the buffer… If the ESPN+ Apple TV app and other sports apps can implement PIP for multiple streams, so can Plex.

I want this! Hopefully someday this will happens and the xfinity set top box is done for.

Not ideal but multiple browsers on a PC set up in 4 windows.

Now that football season is back in full swing, how about an update on this? The multiple browsers works if on a PC, but not on a smart TV.

I’m on board with this feature as well. It would be nice to have a “sports bar” mode where you could watch up to 4 live tv screens. Obviously this would be limited to your tuner but for the hdhomerun this would work. As for the audio my thought is to use the remote to just scroll over the screen and it would just change the audio to that view.

I am thinking of this feature to be used for the appletv iOS or any full tv app.

This is exactly what I am looking for. Cards have multiple tuners by default nowadays. This should be a no brainer.

I’m looking to cancel my YouTube TV, and move to Plex for most of my TV needs. This is a feature I am going to miss.

Can we get PIP button or functionality for live tv on iPad and iPhone? It works (reasonably) well for my server media, but not at all when viewing live tv. For whatever reason there’s no PIP button and swiping up does not activate PIP when viewing live tv. Not sure if it matters but I’m using a HD Homerun tuner.

i can like every comment in the thread but not the original post. just voicing support for the thought. 4 tuner 4 view would be great. haven’t really been paying attention to all the app changes going on so i assume the devs are busy but appreciate if/when they get to this. thank you
