I am running plex on Centos with a 9th generation I5 processor with 32GB of RAM. I have transcoding enabled. I am using a RAM Drive to facilitate the transcoding process. The server also has a 4 Tuner Hauppauge card installed. Tuners show up as 2 separate cards with 2 tuners each.
I have had this issue for quite some time so I updated the Plex version before posting just to verify the problem persisted. I have multiple TV’s running using the Roku platform and generally have no issues watching the same channel on any of these devices. However if I attempt to watch a channel that is currently being broadcast on my Sony Bravia - Android TV then I get the “An Error occurred while attempting to play this video”
I tried to duplicate this same issue using my android phone and received the same error.
My understanding is that Plex is attempting to stream the same content to multiple devices using only 1 tuner. I don’t know if this is the issue or not but I have 4 tuners so if there is a way to disable this “Feature” and simply use the multiple tuners to avoid the problem I am all for it.
As mentioned I generally have the issue on Android devices is what I am assuming at this point. My televisions using Roku seem to not have this issue.
