Hello everyone i just got my wd 4tb my cloud from amazon was sale $130 4days ago, now my question is can i use
this harddrive nas on plex Im running windows 10 and could someone please let me know how. I’m not sure if plex supports this. Please advise.
Install plex server on windows 10. Point it to the media library on your nas. Or just plug the USB directly into your computer. Really any external or internal drive would work. Your computer it doing all the work.
ok i will try that about usb straight to my w10 but WD said usb is only for to extend or add anothe WD-harddrive

How did it fail? Does plex not see the drive? Did you map the network drive in windows?
it worked !!! thanks to Ottokermer/Night …this will work to any nas
1.The wd 4tb my cloud is direct connected to router .Make sure you know the nas ip ex.192.168.1.119
2.Pres window+R type the ip \\192.168.1.119
3.it will open new window click on public folder,now you will see 3folder
4.now open your plex . Libraries \ + \ movies \ add folders \ browse for media folder click on that \ type
\\192.168.1.119\public\shared videos {Shared Music\Shared Pictures\Shared Videos}
Now just map the drives. Then you won’t need an ip to access them every time.
