So… After I updated the Blu-ray player app, in the system audio settings, I now have the option for bitstream out for everything! Here’s the catch. The XB converts everything to either DTS or AC3 depending on your selection. So no matter what the original audio stream is, it’s converted to one of the two choices and sent to the AVR as a bitstream.

This might actually be worse than just using uncompressed multi channel out.

There should be an option that came out in the last day or so in the Blu-ray/disc settings, as well as the system audio settings.

+1 to this thread 100%. Hopefully this will gain some attention.

Xbox has had that option since it launched…(it was originally missing dolby digital and just had dts)

Mine did not. The three choices I had were Stereo Uncompressed, 5.1 Uncompressed, 7.1 Uncompressed. No bitstream option.

I wish my favourite client get some overdue love from the plex team.

Seriously. Jumping on the bandwagon. xbox is the center of my media universe. I have OTA TV w/ Guide, Games, as well as my massive plex library running through it… would love to get feature parity with the better apps out there.

I’d like the Xbox One app to work a bit better as well. The audio is off by just a half second and I can’t seem to adjust it in app. THe rest of my streaming apps( Netflix/Amazon/SlingTV ) and DVD’s seem to be synced up to the sound just fine.

I’m using an Xbox One S with Bitstreaming for audio.

Try changing the other output to bitstream. I had this issue myself and if I recall I fiddled with the optical out settings and then I magically had my missing settings on HDMI.

Seriously, any update? This is f’ing ridiculous.

I am waiting here as well, make our Plex Lifetime passes worth it.

It’s pretty pathetic that the Plex team is incapable of responding to any forum feedback, let alone, updating the Xbox One app.

We want an update. Please plex team, at least give us a comment.

Thanks.

A New Hope for the (Xbox App)

“A few years ago, we (somewhat miraculously) got an XBox One app built (side note: we then hired the Microsoftie who helped us), and we fell deep and hard for the giant-posters-and-horizontal-navigation thing. The early Xbox One apps were trailblazers in their own right, but suffice to say that we were all searching for answers on the cusp of the next evolution of big-screen media apps”.

I hope this is the new look for the Xbox App I really like it.
I hope the new Plex app for Xbox is UWP app, so it can be updated along side the windows 10 app with more frequent updates.
Please give us an update on the app, even Q4 2017 or Q1 2018 just some sort of time frame

If I wanted to run plex through an outside device, just to get a usable interface. I would have stuck with KODI. Having to use this app and seeing all the so called promises from Plex is really sad and pathetic. Plex has basically said, ■■■■ YOU if you use an xbox.

Can you transfer a plex pass.

You are more than welcome to my FIRETV Update… I seriously don’t want it!

Xbox needs dvr, please update.
