Web App Uses Incorrect Track Duration

When playing music on the web app (using Chrome on Windows 7) or the Windows Store App, Plex displays track duration that are much longer than they actually are. This would be the time display showing on the bottom left side of the app (xx played / yy duration). The track plays till the end and then hangs. However, the track duration displayed when you query ‘get info’ shows the correct duration. The problem occurs only with some of my albums. It affects all tracks of these albums.

As an example, say a track’s duration 3:37 long. The web app might display 12:12. It will play till 3:37 (i.e. till the song ends). Then the app stops playing. It doesn’t move on to the next track, it doesn’t continue progressing its timer toward 12:12.

Also, if it helps, the problem doesn’t happen with the Android App.

The MP3 headers might be messy, try using a freeware program to fix the files. I had a similar issue with a few of my tracks, but those showed much longer duration and wouldn’t play audio at all.

Try to Analyze your library to see if that helps.
