Using Plex about 2 months. Everything seemed to be working fine, including shared library from another user. Purchased lifetime pass last week. Now web app won’t connect to my server.
Reports: app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “[MyMedia]” securely
Still connects fine with remote shared library from another user. Can connect to my server locally.
Have read the help files concerning “secure connections” but not experienced enough to troubleshoot much beyond checking the settings. Any help would be appreciated.

You can obtain the IP address of your Plex server via a command window using c:\ipconfig or, in Windows 10, Settings → Network & Internet → Properties
If you can login and see your server settings, go to Settings → Network. Check the setting for Secure connections. If Disabled, change to Preferred and save changes.
Yes, I can connect locally (by using "http://localhost:32400/web, or by double clicking the server icon in the tray). Also, I just heard from my son with whom I have shared my libraries. He is still able to access my content via the web. My network settings: Secure connections, are and have been “Preferred”.
