Hi, all my files from Handbrake show up as not optimized even though I check off the option for it, so I ran a test on a few of them though ffmpeg and loaded up the new files, and even they are marked off as “no” for web optimization. Anyone seen this before and know what the deal is? Thanks!
The web optimization of an mp4 file can be easily destroyed if you afterwards add meta tags into the file.
It is generally not necessary to send the file through Handbrake, just to get the web optimization. It takes far too much time and reduces the quality.
If you are running Windows, here is a software which can take an existing mp4 file and make it web-optimized, without the need to re-encode the file.
mp3tag
Great info, thank you! I actually have mp3tag so I’ll give it a go. Thanks again!
