Why is it that when I try to encode a film, the optimization stops dead in its tracks, gets to a certain % then just stops, I left this over night with one file x265 being optimised, the players doesn’t seem to like x265 so I code them into a mp4 format, but low and behold after a solid 12 hrs it was still at 1%
I use handbrake all the time, however this happens all the time when I use the optimizer, I only use this option when im switching containers hevc to mp4 it isnt a great option but it does the work in less time and with almost no loss in quality, this is why I use it.
The issue however is it freezes and just sits there chewing up m cpu while doing nothing.
