I used to be able to pick and choose which libraries were displayed on the main startup screen in Windows. Then about maybe a couple weeks ago, something tweaked, and I’ve lost control of that. They still show up as being “pinned”, but they’re not in the main window which dominates 90% of the screen.
First, a particular photo album stopped displaying, while the main catch-all photos library was still there. I care less about the catch-all library, so I unpinned it. No dice, the sub-folder pinned library still doesn’t show up.
Now, there’s some crap about " 'Tis the Season" showing up that I can’t disable.
When did I lose control of this customizable feature, and how do I regain that control?

This used to be so simple. I create a library, it shows up under the “MORE >” tab. I click through the “more” tab, find the library, pin it. Then it displays itself in the primary window, sorted by most recently added. If I want, I can rearrange the order of the pinned libraries.
I looked at the link you provided, didn’t help. I’ve tried clicking all of the tick-boxes, picking specific boxes, etc etc.
At best it shows me a new favorites photos field, which is not at all what I want from a specified photo album which I want displayed, in order of most recently added to first added. I created a brand new shared folder, not in the primary photo folder (which worked absolutely fine until a couple weeks back). Doesn’t show up in the Recommended Panel (I’ll just call it that, until I have a better term), even though I have that library pinned.
edit: read deeper into that article, and looks like the Seasonal thing is global, I have no control over it.
Just tried randomly adding a photo to the album, and went back to the main page. The line with the photos showed up, then winked away gone in a split second. Stopped and restarted the server, exact same thing. The pinned library was there for literally a split second then disappeared.
