I’ve tried to record Bathurst motor race today and watch it in time skip. This is the biggest TV event of the year for me and the ■■■■■■■ Plex piece of ■■■■ has ■■■■■■ up the recording and somehow deleted it. I checked a dozen times that it was recording now I can’t go back in time. I’m going back to Windows Media Centre and XBOX360. It’s old but bullet proof. I’ve paid money for this junk. ■■■■ off Plex.

If I schedule a recording form the guide, for some programmes it turns up in the scheduled recordings, sometimes it does not. Bathurst is a particularly long telecast: 7.5 hours in a single guide entry. It will not turn up in scheduled recordings ( I set this up yesterday). If I manually select record, it will not illuminate the record button. “Recording in progress” appears top RHS briefly but it does not appear to record so I only have the live TV buffer to rely on so any time I accidently hit the back button or the up joystick button at the wrong time, or go back to the guide, or watch another channel, or change the HDMI input (plex reports a “playback issue”) the recording buffer goes away
I missed the start of the race because Plex Live TV is an afterthought. The ENTIRE purpose of spending thousands of dollars on a server and other hardware is so I can watch delayed live TV and skip the adverts so when my favourite sporting event is on and the system fails it it quite frustrating.
