What do long-form controls do on Plexamp?

The Plexamp app says “only when ‘store track progress’ is enabled.”

I have some audio books in my music library I could turn this on for but not sure if it’s worth it.

My questions are:

  • What do long-form controls do? What’s the benefit?
  • Can I enable “store track progress” on an album basis (ie., not whole library)?

Lights up alternate player interface with a different seek bar, and options for voice boost and silence skipping.

Only on a library basis.

Thanks very much for confirming (and for creating Plex!)

Lastly while I have you, I love adjusting playback speed for audio. Are there plans to add this for video too?

Good question, I’m honestly not sure

No worries. I use this feature all the time on VLC and YouTube to get through tutorial videos.

Would be great on Plex too to get through really long movies for time-poor parents like me.

If you could pass on to your team as a feature suggestion it would be much appreciated.
