Hello, looking for ways to automate my new anime and tv shows… I currently do it manually and have to rename, sort, categorized and move every episode when available. Any ideas on what to use and setup, filebot scripts, etc are appreciated. I’m looking at getting a usenet account here today or tomorrow. Thanks.
That’s an interesting question, I’m interested as well! I’ve been looking for FileBot scripts to auto rename but just haven’t spent enough time. If I find, anything, I’ll post it here.

Are you looking for GUI scripts or command line? My problem is I have command line scripts but they don’t work the same way in the GUI, where i can run it automatically.
Thanks, I downloaded and tried Sonarr but can’t get it to “retrieve” anything. ![]()
I get “No file available for this episode.” on the shows i have added… failry new ones like “You’re the worst”
Just downloaded it and this looks amazing! Where has then been all of my Plex life?! Haha

Let me know if you get it to work. I haven’t gotten mine to download… it let’s me add shows but that’s it. Also, haven’t tried it with anime yet. Thanks.

I will let you know. I am at school right now but once I’m home tonight I will run through it and set it up and let you know.
BTW, where did you install it? Just wondering because I run an Ubuntu Server and that’s where I run Plex. I am going to see if I can get it running on the headless server. I assume you’re running a Windows environment?
@vballrican Just from a quick search here are a few links that could help.
Link 1 - Setting Up Sonarr
Link 2 - Using Sonarr
But overall, finding those links I found that if you go to cuttingcords and then select the “THE ULTIMATE SERVER TUTORIAL” (See highlighted in the image below) , they have a 10 step guide for setting up the ultimate server.
Once I get home, I am going to run through the 10 steps and change some things to streamline my Plex server environment.

Yes, I’m running Plex on Windows 8. About to move everything to a Windows 10 PC once it gets here…tomorrow or Thurs. ![]()

Thanks. That’s the guide i used when i first learned about Sonarr… still, no dice. I think it’s my indexers not working but haven’t really any that work.
Thanks.

Sorry, this doesn’t seem to work without Usenet which i mentioned in my first post i will be getting soon. I was looking for torrent solutions. Thanks.

Have you added any indexers and a download client via the settings? Sonarr downloads items from newsgroups or from torrents, but you must configure “where” the files are coming from as it doesn’t have it’s own repository.

Ohh that’s nice, okay. I’ll keep my eye out for anything for correctly setting this up for Windows.

Just looked, this looks like a torrent option: How to Automatically Download Virtually Anything as Soon as It’s Available
sonarr is AMAZING! Before that I used sickbeard which was great but sonarr gets more support. It can be a pain to setup the first time but once that’s done it’s completely automated.
I use newsgroups primarily. I’ve never gotten sonarr to work with torrents. But then torrents are a low priority for me.

LOL, I cannot wait to go home and test and set this up! From what I saw, this is going to be ana amazing additive to my Plex Ecosystem.

You’ll want to use sabnzbd as your usenet downloader. It integrates into sonarr. There are lot of video on setup but it can still be a pain.
