Sorry, but with so much / so many discussions about loading the metadata cache there's no way to search on the term effectively. I had some very minor pauses in 1080p content (1/4-1/2 second hiccups). No real regular pattern - sometimes 20 seconds apart, sometimes playback is flawless for multiple minutes.
Cache is installed at "5%" and can be increased. What does the cache do, and what does the % relate to?
