What formats not natively supported by xbox one?

Curious as to what formats are not currently supported playing natively on the current plex app in xbox one.

Is it just dts for audio and currently mkv for video?  (Although I hear that mkv is supported by the xbox one ulna player but not by third party apps).

Is it likely that microsoft will make mkv available for plex?

Also on dts I vaguely remember in the past that this wasn't available on other media players due to a required license fee?  Is this likely the case with the xbox one and if so I presume that means we will never get support?

it can play mkv as far as i know but it must have h264 video

No, MKV also transcodes (with h264 video and ac3 audio playing in direct stream).

The Plex app released while MKV was not supported by the stock xbox OS.

This has not been added in the recent update.

Thats because MS doesn't allow 3rd party app to use it (they do the same on windows 8.1).

mkv works for me. whats the bitrate of your video

It works because it transcodes.. Are you saying you can DirectPlay MKVs via the Plex app (not via DNLA)?

yes

I am unable to direct play wmv3 or vc1 with wma pro audio. It transcodes on me even though the Xbox supports/plays it via DLNA just fine.

DLNA is not the same as a what is allowed to be used by third party apps in the store.

yes

I'd like to see some proof, since you would be the only one that can. Are you sure it's not "direct stream" instead of "direct play"? direct stream means it's being remuxed to a different container (mp4 likely).
