What happened!?! PS3 was my goto app for plex and a couple weeks ago it suddenly slowed down. Menus take about 60 seconds to change/navigate, loading a movie info page, another 60 seconds. The HD on the ps3 goes bananas for this.
Add to that, it can’t seem to play 1080 content without skipping, I have to drop it to at MOST, 3mbps 720p (hardwired btw).
What makes me even angrier is that I upgraded my NAS, $400 later, because i thought the old NAS couldn’t keep up with the 1080 content. Turns out it’s the APP!
Thanks a lot for wasting my money! I should have just bought an appletv.
i expect also the same issues. I hope there will come a fix, becuase its really not usable. Because you have to wait so long afer every episode you change.
We’re talking to Sony about this. The slowdown is horrendous.
I have the same issue. Been using plex on ps3 for years without issues until now. Menu’s are unusable.

Hi all you plex lovers. I have used Plex with ps3 and notice I cant view find or fast forward.
I now use WD TV Live for streaming and find it works perfect. I can fast forward like normal DVD and also is great for play audio music files. Cheers.
