I just updated Plex media server and then when I launched Plex (the home theatre app) none of my library was present. So I got to update it and only Plex media Player is available?
Am I stupid or something as this doesn’t seem to work in any way like the old Plex Home theatre (with the dog on the menu screen!)
I can’t control it will my Apple remote so all functionality is removed. I MUST be doing something wrong?
The latest Plex Home Theater Release Announcement post from November 2016 said:
Plex Home Theater provided a solid experience when it was introduced, but we have since been focusing our development efforts on Plex Media Player and we will continue to do so. Since we’re no longer actively supporting Plex Home Theater, it is in everyone’s best interests for people to be using an app that is actively maintained and supported. As such, downloads for Plex Home Theater will no longer be available.
We encourage people to move to our awesome, free Plex Media Player app. For Plex Pass subscribers, our Plex for Kodi add-on is also available as an early preview.

I’ve had to restore from time machine.
The Apple Remote wasn’t working with the Media Player.
