Plex team just announced that they will discontinue Plex Home Theater PHT.

What about the future of rasplex will it support the new Plex Media Player ?

PHT is not going away soon, the team is just not going to be actively developing it going forward.

Rasplex is not going away, new release out soon.

Amazing update! But I really miss that I can open the Plex app via Apple remote to my Mac Mini. Any idea how to enable that again?
