What I absolutely loathe about Plexamp

I hate that to go back to the home screen, you click this little unassuming button in the middle, then click the back button on the top left. Sometimes, it will go back to the home screen, and sometimes, you have to click the back button multiple times to go all the way up.

I know that the arrow-down button acts as a pulldown, but what bugs me is that the pulldown button in all other Plex apps is consistently on the top left.

I also wish there was a home button somewhere.

I would prefer something like this instead. Pulldown button on the top left and home button in the middle. If you think the button up there is ugly, you can make the pulldown button disappear when the user is not interacting with the menu just like how it is with Plex.

You can also long-press the back button to get a popup that lets you navigate straight back to the top level (or as a breadcrumb navigation to every step you’ve drilled into).

That’s interesting.

Also if the bottom bar was consistently shown, that would make the UI more user-friendly. The position of the pulldown button in the middle would still annoy me (pulldowns are usually at the top of the UI that is being pulled down…), but at least I can go directly to home, or go to other albums and search a lot quicker.

There is, right there in your screenshot!

The tab button brings you back to the “home” for its tab.
