What is 408p at 1.4mbps?

Then go play them outside of plex.

I grew up in Campbell, CA, about 3 miles from Los Gatos, CA, where Plex headquarters is and 1 mile from netflix headquarters.

The cost of living in this area and watching the quality of the plex app degrade over the years has brought me to believe plex is more concerned about staying afloat instead of being able to provide a good product.

If you don’t believe me, just look at the plex address in los gatos in google maps, I dare you to check the price of a nearby apartment, also, zoom out, and see how they obviously can’t afford to do business in a small rich town walking distance from netflix headquarters.

I wouldn’t be shocked if netflix sent programmers to plex to be employed only to degrade the progress of this application.

It really is sad the path Plex has taken, and their location is only proof if you grew up in the area.

RIP PLEX

Now that I think about it, I doubt netflix sent people to work for plex, they probably recruited their good programmers and continue to do so.

Why work for Plex when Netflix is 2 miles away and able to provide such a larger income that it only makes sense, leave plex and work for netflix!

Welcome to the Silicon Valley!

What does ANY of that have to do with your issue, and my willingness to help you??? I guess you made your choice man… enjoy being the guy who shot himself in the foot and talked his way out of legitimate help…

you can’t fix the bug, what are you trying to help me with? What info that I did not provide that you desire?

I told you, you are basic.

If it was a Bug, it would be happening for everyone, or at the very least a bunch of other people who would be complaining about the same thing… It’s not… No one is… Yes, your plex is broken, and yes, it is fixable… But you can’t even follow basic instructions…

Go get MEDIA INFO (said 3 times now). Read the file. Check the file’s information there. Tell me what it says. If it differs from the Plex information. There’s more steps. But nooooooooo… You’d rather complain, and swing your **** around like you own the place and think you’re the smartest person on the forums…

So even if you do follow the instructions now… I’m not gonna tell you what the next step is if the information does differ from Plex’s XML information…

I am by no means basic… you’re just a scrub, and you’re totally living up to your “stupid truck driver” self proclamation…

Again… enjoy dude… this is the last time I will respond to this thread…

You can’t fix the bug, you fail to understand that for about 10 years of using plex this problem was non-existent. The fact I have to sit her and try and explain that plex won’t play a 408p file but has no problem playing 1874248379427394732873p files is beyond your basic thought process.

The idea that plex has been degrading over the years because their programmers leave to work for higher paying jobs and that plex can’t afford to hire good people to program for them is beyond your comprehension.

It’s a fialed project that is slowly dying, this is why they try to push new features before they even work, don’t even get me going on this new streaming feature that reminds me of their VR reality project.

I mean, it isn’t their fault they are failing, they just can’t afford to keep a good program so they are reaching time after time to include some feature that makes plex worth the money and hassle.

This is a prime example of how I live in Nevada now and drive a truck.

hahhaha look at this, tell me why this new episode of south park is 0.9mbps 720p and it plays smooth with that huge buffer…

and I can upgrade it to 4mbps?

huh? but I can’t make the 1.4mbps even 1.5mbps?

oh, I am sorry do you need XML to see common sense ■■■■? Kid’s these days…

the fact this episode is called BASIC cable and I have been doing this with you is classic.

If you even tell me to somehow make sonnar and couchpotato NOT download these 408p postsbecause of some bug in plex, me and you will have a serious problem, as of now, I like you.

hahahha

hahahhaa where is your logic now? NOT A BUG?

LOOK I AM WATCHING THIS 0.9mbps 720p at 4mbps 720p FLAWLESS UNLIKE ANY 1.4mbps 408p files!!! it took about 3 seconds to build that buffer you see. lol

Oh… let’s blame the files and not plex! again, it must be a bug because, this never was the case, until roughly a month or so ago! No I will not show you the XML because it is futile.

plexhahha

Ok everyone, be nice.

@rumbleplex What OS are you running PMS on, what version OS, what version PMS, and are you using hardware accelerated transcoding? Some hardware can have issues with certain unusual resolutions. You can try turning it off and see if that makes a difference.
