What is in the local local cache data on server?

Server Version#: 1.18.4.2171, but I think it may have been going for a while
Player Version#: N/A

I woke this morning and my C drive was 100% full. I use a 256GB SSD as my system drive and ALL my storage is on external drives. 100% of it. I keep zero media on my C drive.

Because it was full I couldn’t even load my Live TV guide. I was able to temporarily dump some other stuff on the drive to an external like my BackBlaze cache which freed up enough space for it to work properly again. However, that was only about 10-12GB. I’m running again, but that’s not the root of my problem.

When I run WinDirStat the numbers are scary. I have nearly 200GB of Plex data on my C drive and none of it is media…at least not storage of media. I also don’t think it’s metadata because that is in a different folder.

So, can anyone tell me what is in this directory structure? Can it be deleted? How do I clear it out? I have been running a Plex server on this Win10 box for years and I’ve never looked to see how the data was distributed, but I’ve also never had a storage issue before.

Any help is appreciated!

Get a larger SSD (perhaps an additional one, if you have room and connectors for it) or disable and delete your ‘video preview’ thumbnails.
