Most files look like GUID +.bundle that make up the bulk of files in there. Thats a lot of data in my profile directory! After reading I might have to copy that folder structure to new hardware I decided it should be backed up and after about an hour I was puzzled why it wasn’t finished yet. Then I realized that PMS folder is 45 GB. My media is not in there… WOW. Its on a different drive all together. -Bill
A bunch of stuff - all of the metadata images, posters, previews, and analysis Plex has gathered and performed for your media. It’s made up of many small files that can take a long time to transfer/copy/back up.

Some people turn off features entirely if they don’t use them, or if they need the space.
It’s also possible to reduce the size of Video Preview Thumbnails significantly while keeping the feature active.
What’s a rough order-of-magnitude estimate of how many Movies and TV Episodes you have? 45 GB isn’t particularly big if you have a significant number of movies and shows.
Oh, I do have a lot of recorded show from years of recording them and rarely having time to watch them. I was just shocked how large that folder is. Maybe its normal?
45 GB might be huge or small, depending on your perspective.
That’s smaller than a single 4k Blu-ray. If you have thousands of shows and episodes, it’s not unusually large.
How big are the files inside “Plug-in Support/Databases”? There should only be a few files in here. This is the core database, and shouldn’t be huge.
