Notice over the weekend high CPU usage on a Plex Server that has ‘no user’. Close investigation notice the server was Transcoding something even though no one was using it.
Blocking port 32400 stopped it. What was trancoding on the server??
Found my answer. Server is transcoding media files for intros.
But why didn’t the indicator show syncing?
And why is it only happening to this Plex Server? I have 3 servers and this is the only one with this issue.

Yes, PMS needs to extract the audio.
Normal when the server is doing a background task you see the spinning circle indicator. There was non during this process which made me panic.
Ok, I’m not sure on that. It should appear. I’ll have to look into this.
