What is the Plex file naming convention for photos?

Can someone please point me to the Plex documentation on where it describes how to name your photos? There is plenty about naming movies, tv shows, and a very short bit about naming personal videos, but nothing about naming the many thousands of photos I have. I ask because they’re all from different cameras over the years with different naming conventions and Plex is showing them all wrong. I can correct the names manually, but need to know what to change them to.

Okay, haven’t found any official Plex documentation on it, but the main supported photo naming convention appears to be:

yyyy-mm-dd[space]hh-mm-ss
Ex: “2019-12-30 13.00.48.jpg”

I agree, Plex really isn’t interested in users’ photo collections, it’s like they just created the functionality without bothering to develop or maintain it.

Hi,

I’m at the start of this Plex journey for Photos etc.
460GB / 98K Files - currently across nested folders - 776 Folders.

I’ve also posted on here some more details - but basically looking for any advice:

Or whether I should potentially use another tool - maybe Kodi?
