So Kinda stupid question, I have a custom video library, what metadata field does plex use to pull the air date?
Probably depends a bit on the container format and what app you’re using.
IIRC this works witzig the „release date“ property using Subler on mp4/m4v files.
Plex only reads tags from mp4 files. Although, I don’t think we scan for “aired date” since there is no standard tag for that. Plex should use the encoded date tag. If that doesn’t exists, it will use the file’s creation date.
