What is wrong with my settings? Why wont Plex see the server unless my screen is awake?

I believe all my macbook pro settings are correct (see screenshots). I will leave plex open on my macbook pro and all my media is on an external hard drive attached. Unless my screen is on, plex player (apple tv, iphone) wont connect to the server. I have to come and move my mouse so the screen comes on, then I can connect. Nothing is falling alseep (even if it were, why cant plex wake up the server when I try to access it from the apple tv or iphone?)

Try changing your Mac energy saving settings to not sleep the hard drive when the screen goes dark

It already is. Look at the 2nd screenshot.

try removing password required. your settings are same for my imac except i don’t require a password for when the screen shuts off. if that fixes it, you will need to make a decision on whether or not you have to have the password

Thanks, but my password isnt required until 8 hours later. So this is happening well within the window of not needing a password.

I would be trying to reset your SMC.
