What Is Wrong With Plex

for three days now i’ve been trying to connect to plex but it cant find the server. Why did plex go out of business? is this a joke or something. ive only been using this for a month now and already a problem with it. please tell me why cant it find the server after i have downloaded it four time to make sure i had it but all it does is say “Looking for server”

I think you are mistaken on what Plex is, please take a read of the following:

Plex did not go out of business, they are very much still providing the Plex Media Server software. They don’t, however, provide content generally (excluding Podcasts, web shows).

It sounds like you paid someone for a Plex share to their server. It’s possible they cut and ran with your money, as these people don’t have any affiliation to Plex we are not able to help. Paid sharing is specifically against the Plex terms of service. It’s also possible they were banned due to this violation causing you to not be able to access their server

There is no server signed onto your plex account.
And your plex account is brand new.

Did you perhaps involuntarily create a new plex account, by signing into the plex.tv website and clicking on ‘Continue with Google’?

I Dont Know, I did create another account because the other one i had did the same thing which tried to re-sign into but when i went to do that i forgot my password and try to do the “Forget Password” and get a link to my email but nothing was sent to me so if you could send me a link to my email so i can use the other Server i had then i will use that one instead

no i paid no one i said that because i cant connect to my new server

OK, if you want to keep on using your current plex.tv account, you must bring your server into this account as well. Currently, only your web browser is signed into the new account.
