Until yesterday I could watch with no problem. but Today when I started plex on the tv Sony kdl-40w605B it say the app is no longer available because of reported problems.
I can access the server via the server utility on tv but it misses a lot of features from the app itself.

Same problem here. I have a Sony Bravia Smart TV. Not even sure if my TV has a way to access the server any other way. I tried Opera but it didnāt work either.

Yep same, its been disabled at some point this morning.
Be nice if sony could give us an over-ride option rather than telling us what apps we can and can not use!
Hope the team can fix this quickly.

Use URL Loader from the Opera TV store.

Use the Media Player app to access the Plex server for now. I guess we need to wait for Plex to fix their app. Not too happy about this. 
I have a Sony Bravia TV and the same happened to me last night, I was worried that Iād broken something with the Plex server until I came here. I hope they get it sorted out soon.
Same problem here with Swisscom TV 2.0 TV Boxā¦ this box also use Opera Store Plex App
Have same problem on Sony Bravia.
But if launch Plex from the Opera TV Store, it works.

Same problem here, starting last night on my Sony TV (model KDL-40W600B, about 5 years old). Would love to know if itāll be working again soon, or if itās time for me to invest in a Roku or Fire TV stick for this TV.

So there has been some talk of Sony not supporting Vewd any longer and that some customers saw warnings of this late last year. There is no official announcement that I can find, but plenty of people having similar problems with other apps too.
Works fine from url browser and also from the opera tv store plex app, just the one from the sony store which pins to the menu doesnāt work.
If you pin opera store to your Sony menu and then pin the plex app inside the opera store app, you can launch plex with the minor inconvenience of one extra click, adds about 10s to the process whilst the opera store launches

It doesnāt work for me. Using both apps, I get the āoopsā messageā¦
Only way it works with my TV, is using URL Loader and this is a major inconvenienceā¦ (KD49X8505B)
Hey the Opera TV Store method worked for me! The extra click is a bit annoying but doable, especially if it turns out this is just temporary (fingers crossedā¦).
Same problem here in Australia region. Iām on an older Bravia, I donāt appear to have the Opera TV store/Vewd app to try the workaround. Plex is started from the āSony Entertainment Networkā app for me, but can be pinned to the home screen from there.
I remember this happened a few years ago too and lasted for a few days. See this post Plex disabled on Sony Opera store
Last time someone from Plex contacted them, Iāve directly messaged him to see if he can do so again.

I have the same problem as well (on my SONY Bravia KDL-40W600B smart tv).
Plex app working fine no problems for months and suddenly yesterday āOopsā.
I really hope someone fixes this.
(EDIT: Found the Opera/Vewd app and that workaround seems to work! - in the Australia region)
Have the same issue in NZ. At least we have the work around with accessing through store. Hope they get it working properly again!!!
Thanks srange my TVs are still working has anyone tried download the apk and installing from like apkmirror etc and installing under unknown sources ??
