The app behaves as though it’s disconnected, but the Chromecast keeps playing. This is only happening with Plex, I tested YouTube and Hulu, both of those actually disconnect when told.
I can confirm behavior.
I’m using Google pixel 6 and Chromecast ultra dongle. I need to use googles “home” app to disconnect Plex from Chromecast.

You mean you are clicking on cast button, selecting Disconnect. and it just keeps playing on Chromecast?
What is the version number of android app you are running on device?

OK thanks. Made bug report for this.
Looks like to stop playback for now hit the X on top right before disconnecting. (It will still show item details with summary)
