I use a Sony Z5 Compact (Android 7) and the Plex App. Lately, when I connect to a Chromecast audio in the Plex app, the connection is disconnected after a few seconds. The Chromecast starts playing and continues, but I can’t control it anymore.
But I only got this behavior from the Plex App. If I connect Plex via the browser, then it works.
But it doesn’t seem to be directly on the Android, because if I activate the transmission to Chromecast in Android then I can listen to online radio, Youtube etc. everything is possible, only not from the Plex app.
Can someone help me with that?

I don’t have an answer for you, but I have the same issue, and it’s extremely frustrating. As much as I love Plex, I can’t rely on it for Chromecast, particularly music (since movies don’t usually require as much user input - often I just hit play and that’s it).
Hi, i used plex about one year and i liked it so much. I used plex not to watch movies. I used it for listening music and uploading photos from smartphone. At the bgeninning it worked fine but after some time it beguns to stock.
i looked a long time for a soloution, but didnt found anything. I have reinstalled my plex server, without success. It must be the android app, because on the webgui its working fine.
I have tested emby and kodi. All of them has own pros and contras.
