Can you double check if the file is accessible to Plex?
You can see the path where Plex expects the file to be by:
- Click Edit (
) and open the Info tab - click on Get Info in the context menu of the movie
Depending on your setup, the file might be missing, an external drive might be mapped to a different drive letter or a network drive could have disconnected from the PC hosting your Plex Media Server… just to name some possibilities.
I have double checked the file paths that plex needs and they match. All of my movie files are stored on my synology nas. I am not using any external drives, just my pc. Thanks for your reply to my message. Hope you can help.
That means your Syno IS an external NAS drive. Is the syno configured to spin down/hibernate drives? If Plex cannot access a file fast enough it will show it as unavailable. Otherwise please post a copy of your server logs.
