When is Not available outside your network remote access plex media server problem going to be fixed?

My error the remote access plex media server is now working for me

this seems to be an endless issue for me, it’s ‘not available’ far more than it’s available and I always need to work my ass off just to make it work, only for it to then not work again very shortly thereafter…it’s soul destroying

I have not changed anything on my network and now Plex keeps saying that the server is not available remotely. Every connection is now an indirect connection. I even tried putting PMS on my DMZ and still the same problem.

Have you check your actual IP address on your router associatde with WAN access. My ISP recently installed CG-NAT on all fibre customers forcing those that use plex and other remote services to pay extra for a static IP. Simply if your router WAN IP address is different from the Public IP address, you need to consult with your ISP

You hit the nail right on the head. I called AT&T weeks ago because of Internet problems. The changed the Uverse modem settings and disabled bridge mode. A$$holes!

I literally never have remote streaming issues unless my own internet or server is down. I’d imagine most people having remote access issues are dealing with improper port forwarding, ISP gateways in front of their own router without being bridged etc.
