When watching a movie and somewhere In the movie, stops and carry on later - the subtitle is disappeared, it’s been like this forever?
even mx player on android has this problem when seeking.
vlc on windows / linux / macos / android too.
apart from that, the biggest issue i have with plex subtitles in general is bound to syncing content to my android phone.
it is literally always transcoding my media if i have files with ASS type subtitles attached to the source material.
big no-go since unless i switch sync transcoding from somewhat reasonable to slowest, i’ll be left with 4/3 the size of the original file that is being synced to my phone.
this issue persists for years now and was brought up alot of times in the plex.tv forums already with no solution in sight.
fun fact… direct playback on android is possible with said source material.
just the sync messes it up.
one thing burning in subtitles would solve is the said issue here.
