When will HEIC be supported in Photo Albums?

It would be great if Plex finally adds support to stream images/photos in heic format file. In my case, I am using Plex from my synology NAS and I wonder when that feature will be implemented.

Yeah, I saw that but that is not an answer sadly, it’s a statement. To say that developers are working on it doesn’t give an answer either. Just keen to get a date for when it will be because it has been years waiting for this.

I’d really love this to happen soon, I took all my photos off of my iPhone and placed them on my NAS and then deleted them off my iPhone to free up some storage. I anticipated being able to view all my photos over the years on Plex Photo app, just realizing now that HEIC isn’t supported yet. Please, please, please Plex hook a fellow up!

I am honestly quite surprised viewing HEIC and other iPhone native formats hasn’t been implemented yet. Any chance this might be added sometime soon!?!?
