When will other players have "Plex TV Series" feature parity with the phone apps? (specifically, TV Show extras)

The “Plex TV Series” brought along with it a much-requested feature of being able to have extras for TV shows. However, the feature has been out for nearly a year now, and still only the phone apps can see all the extras. (You can find a breakdown here TV episode extras not showing up with "Plex TV Series" Scanner/Agent - #5 by tom80H). When can we expect feature parity for TV shows extras on the other players?

Personally, I find most of my shows have the extras broken down by season, but “season extras” are only found on the phone apps. So, I put all the extras at the show level, but scrolling through 70 extras is a pain.

I, too, an anxiously awaiting for TV seasons extras to be displayed across all platforms. Most of the disc extras I have are separated by seasons (season 2 bloopers, deleted scenes for ep 1-6, etc).

Same! I almost never use a mobile device for Plex, and I have several TV shows with extras that are only appropriate at the Season level.

My Plex players are almost exclusively Plex for Windows and the Roku Plex “channel”/app.

And I finally for Plex for Windows to show any TV extras at all. But that’s just throwing a stale cracker to a starving person.

Bump…It took me some time troubleshooting to figure out extras are only on mobile. Also would like to know if there are plans to bring this to the TV apps as we never use the mobile app.

Your summary is however not entirely correct.

All apps should support local extras on show level.
Android TV and Apple TV apps support episode level extras in addition.
However it’s true that only the mobile apps for Android and iOS support local extras on all tv-show tiers.
(as per the post linked in the OP)

… not to diminish the purpose/focus of this thread.

This should be a high priority fix for the dev team. The TV client apps are the most important and need to have this feature working properly. Show, Season, and Episode level extras. Still not clear exactly which clients have Season level extras working at this point.

Okay, so Season extras are working only on Android and iOS mobile… next step we need is for them to work on the TV apps (Android TV, Apple TV, Roku, etc)
