Still waiting for the New Experience to include DVR functionality

I mean, they can’t even get the live tv guide to work in the evening…

So this goes back to March, 2025. Waiting over 4 months this has to be associated with a more serious issue of some sort. Was it a security issue or something? In the rework of the app they just popped out an entire section of functionality?

Still no DVR in the app.

And the Guide performance is still laughable. Like this entire “new” app.

Plex has become a joke.

I have been using the web interface as the iOS app is garbage since spring. I checked again in the app thinking for sure by now this is all sorted. Nope. I can’t believe there is still no DVR controls, at least that I can find. Surely I must be missing where the controls are? Are they really not there? Anyone find something, anything in the iOS app?

Record button goes missing in TV guide

I’m seeing some odd behaviour with the latest beta with recording in Live TV where Plex will show the record button for any show in the initial time block. However when you choose other shows with or without scrolling, it seems to no longer show the record button (oddly additional elements load instead).

I can’t figure out any specific pattern, sometimes it is only after a few shows, other times it is after 8-10 selections.

I haven’t used plex in a few months - I was using my iPhone to schedule something and I couldn’t manage the recording? The button to record shows was kind of buggy and it was unclear if it actually “took” my record request. I went to check and…nothing.

I found this post, was this feature really dropped in April and not restored yet?? Their app last year had a ton more functionality.
