DVR functionality broken in new iOS app

I have been using the DVR functionality in Plex for many years. I’m very disappointed with how much of it is broken on iOS now.

  • I cannot in practice play live TV, it just keeps timing out, even on WiFi in the same house. It used to work remotely via cellular with no problems.
  • Navigating the TV guide is almost impossible. Very slow and crashes all the time.
  • If I search for a program from the guide it never finds anything. This still works fine from the web interface
  • There is no way I have found to schedule a recording from live TV or show what ones are scheduled.
  • The whole Live TV menu option is pretty much useless
  • If a live program is being recorded I cannot play it from the start? So I have to wait till recordings are complete and indexed before I can play from the app.

The iOS app is now only useful for playing uploaded content. I can no longer manage anything unless I can get access to a full web browser.

Same issue for me. It does not make sense that this has been broken for more than 2 months.

Have you tried 2025.18.0 (1098) released today?

Not released here in Australia yet. I’ll watch out for it.

I’d need to be added a a beta tester or something to get access? Does it fix the DVR issues?

The changes you have made to the ios app are TERRIBLE! I can no longer time shift on live TV. Trying to watch an in progress program if I have recorded anything in the time slot(s) before it takes me back to the first program recorded with NO ABILITY to scrub forward even though it asked if I want to start watching the current program at the beginning - it still takes me back to the first program in the queue of recordings. PLEASE FIX THIS!

Still having the same issues - running the latest server update as well as latest ios app. Really annoying.

Is anyone working on this?? Used to work perfectly and now it is totally useless.
