I am looking into buying a new XBOX one and will definitely use it a lot to stream plex content from my Synology NAS to the XBOX. Almost everything in my library is in the MKV container. I have included to examples below. My nas (1812+) does not have a very powerful processor so if he will need to transcode stuff it will probably not work
example details are (please let me know if need more details)
file 1 mkv
format AVC
8 frames
codec ID V-MPEG4/ISO/AVC
audio = AC3 A_AC3
file 2mkv
format AVC
5 frames
codec ID V-MPEG4/ISO/AVC
audio = DTS A_DTS
audio track 2 AC3 A_AC3
will these stream fine or will they stutter because of needed transcoding
