Which NAS? Advice on what to use

Hey everyone! I have a Mac mini that I use for my Plex Server and currently have two Drobo USB models that I have all of my content on. Now, my Mac mini is fairly new but I am looking to upgrade my storage setup to a NAS and wanted to get everyones opinion. I would like to try and future proof as much as I can but have read through the forums that if I’m using a Mac as a server there is really no need to go overboard on a NAS. Anyway, I am racking up my 4K library and want to direct play that content…

My setup:
Plex Server: Mac mini i7

Players/Streaming Devices:
1 - NVIDIA Shield Pro (to stream 4k in dedicated Media Room)
3 - 4K Firesticks in various rooms (only stream 720 and 1080 library to those rooms)
1 - Apple TV in Living Room (Would like to use 4K but still have audio sync issues so I do 1080P)

Anyway, what are your thoughts on the best NAS out there for my situation? I am looking for expansion and speed enough for the 4K with the Shield Pro.

  1. Synology DS920+ or 1520+
  2. QNAP TS-453D-4G or QNAP TS-932PX-4G
  3. Asustor Lockerstor 4 | AS6604T
  4. Asustor AS5304T
  5. TerraMaster F4-422 or TerraMaster F5-422

Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated!
