Which STB to get for LiveDVR?

hi,
I have an old but very reliable VU+ Solo2 enigma2 set top box running at my mums place and am looking for another one for my own house. I really like the fast channel switching and the encryptionless recording on the VU+, but I can’t get Plex to run on it; neither a Plex Client nor Plex LiveDVR.

So which STB should I get for this? Or do I have to use a DVR Tuner PCIe card in my server for this?
