Hi Guys,
am new to Plex ( 2 days only, already loving it ! ) feeling around, the site …have already subscribed to pass and am trying to get the DVR feature running … had a DVR some years ago, found it to be Extremely useful and missed it when I had to downgrade because of coarse $ … It was a separate box … This might seem like a stupid question, but do you have to buy a DVR box, or is this somehow connected through Plex …

You need a compatible tuner for whatever service you are recording ie: silicondust prime for cable TV signals(with a cblecard from provider) or silicondust connect/extend(with an antenna) for over the air(OTA) signals.
