Whitelisting IP Range per Docs doesn't work

I just download Plex onto a Rasberry Pi.
It’s accessible here: http://192.168.0.201:32400/web/ on my LAN.

However, when I go to login locally it forces me to the plex login screen.
192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 doesn’t work in the white listing, at least how I assume it should.

I can get access to an empty UI with a spinner without logging it but none of the tv shows or such. If I click Sign In… which I would expect would be for Guest User access it direct me to the the login screen. Sometimes it’s just a blank screen entirely with a spinner… url with a hashbang of client setup.

Keep in mind that using the LAN networks option requires a Plex Pass!

Edit: if Plex treats your different subnets as remote connections, you might use an SSH tunnel to connect „locally“ to the server on your Raspberry Pi

You cannot whitelist the machine PMS is running on.

@michaelpaccione are you referring to the List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth setting? I don’t think that’s a Plex Pass feature.

Can you share exactly what you’ve entered there? Any spaces or extra characters will cause it to silently explode.

Are you trying to access it from the same machine, or another machine on the LAN / in the same subnet?

“Blank screen entirely with a spinner” doesn’t sound right in any case.

@Volts Sure here are some photos.

Computer login

First Load on separate device

Second Load on separate device

What you want in the field Is 192.168.0.0/24 I believe

In trying that it then forces the auth screen.

Okay this is actually the answer. I didn’t understand what this meant at first because I’m not familiar with Plex.

I have to access it via the app.plex.tv address and it works!
