Hi there,
I just got my invite mail for the android tv beta.
Unfortunately the Google Play link says “I am not allowed” and the forum links all say " Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.".
Who to speak to for this?
Thanks,
Dan

Same for me?
Help.
My mistake, sorry for that! You should be able to open that link now with no issues.
Let me know if it’s not the case!
it works! thank you!
Having just joined the beta program myself, I too am having problems with the forum links, both show “Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.”
i think the links to forum in email might be old ones. You are posting in beta section. What was the link?
Hi,
The first link translates to https://forums.plex.tv/categories/beta-builds
The second translates to https://forums.plex.tv/sso
yeah those are old links for our older forum software. I’ll let folks know to update links. You are already posting in beta category. just make sure to tag any post you make in here with android-mobile-beta
or android-tv-beta
Thanks ever so much.
I was emailed the invite for the beta, I selected the link, signed up okay and then I installed the Plex android app.
I then realized that the Play Store doesn’t reflect the Plex Beta version. Only the non beta version.
Am I missing something here?

You need to go here to toggle being a tester or not. It is so if you want to check somethign with the public version you can turn off getting the beta https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.plexapp.android
I did go to that link and signed up when I had received the email.
If I go there now, it tells me “Welcome to the testing program. You are a tester.”, but the Play Store doesn’t reflect this.
I only have 1 Google profile I use so you know that I don’t have/use any other ones for any mixups.
Please advise…

What version is installed on your phone now? 7.18 is the beta version. 7.17 is the public.
I currently have the version 7.18.0.11113 installed from the Play Store.
I know that there’s some apps that would require uninstalling the current version for a beta version. So I uninstalled the current version and reinstalled it. The same, non beta, version installs.

That is the current beta. release notes here Android (mobile) beta release notes - #212 by sixones
Not sure why that is not reflecting in store for you. What version of android is on phone?
I may be confused as Beta versions are typically indicated in the Play Store and/or the version itself reflects some type of “-beta” or “b” within it.
If the version 7.18.0.11113 is the Beta version then it looks like I’m all set.
The Plex Beta versioning looks like an untraditional approach…
I’m not at all complaining. I was just taken off guard to this approach.
I really appreciate your time, patience and understanding with clarifying this for me.
Thank You!

I’m not sure exactly what’s going on but, I’m in the Beta program and everything seemed to be going great until recently.
The Google Play Store is reflecting the current Plex app v7.17.4.11141 (build 722647120), but according to the following…
… The Plex Beta is on v7.18.1.11299 (build 723698224) and I had to manually install that version.
Can someone please clarify whether or not I need to keep track of and manually install the updated Beta version?
Before I’m asked this again… I did double check the Play Store Beta program link and it does reflect that I’m currently enrolled in the Beta Program.
Thanks a bunch!

It should stay automatically updated, however there is a period where we move the beta to a staged rollout, when this happens if you don’t already have the beta its possible to not receive the new version until the rollout reaches everyone. At the moment the beta version should be v7.19, are you seeing this?
