I’ve been using Premium Music for awhile now and for the last month or so all of my music shows each album with double tracks.
I am using a itunes music folder and it shows normal in itunes and when I look in each folder. Also I’ve lost all of the artwork unless I go to each band or artist and manually refresh each one.
Does anyone have any ideas what I may have done to cause these problems?
Thanks!
Plex will “fold” duplicates together until it gets to the track level then it will start listing them.
For each track, hover over the right side, expose the ellipsis, see where it’s actually pointing to.
This is your best first step in figuring out where the duplication is coming from.
I feel really dumb now but I refreshed the entire music library and it isn’t till the very end of the scan that Plex started deleting the duplicates and then added the album art. I must have stopped it from completing the entire process earlier when I saw there were still duplicates after scanning a band or artist. So the problem is solved. Thank you for your help!
you’re very welcome! I pulled my own ‘ultimate dumb stunt’ too today.
Rule #1 when operating a RAID system: Do not disturb the drive bays while the NAS is operating!
Yes, you guessed it… Click… Pop… Drive popped out… BEEP BEEP “Drive removed”… “Drive removed” BEEP BEEP.
Fortunately it responded just as nicely when I latched the level back into position and locked it.
Don’t you love learning a new NAS? lol
