I recently moved my music files and re-organized the my library. After finishing and re-syncing Plex library, it now hows duplicate albums listed, and in some cases it has it triplicated.
Is it possible to remove the duplicate/triplicate albums?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
After you reorganized the files in your music Library, did you perform the proper Update Library, Empty Trash, and Clean Bundles?
If it has the items listed as 3 instances in the database for the same file, it’s gotten so confused you’ll have to delete the Library section and recreate it from scratch.
To check whether this has happened or not, Go to one of those duplicates and perform a “Get Info”. Look at the pathnames listed. If the same pathname, it’s confused. If separate pathnames, which it probably is because we all make those types of oversights when reorganizing, perform the required sweep up and do the Update, Empty, and Clean steps again.
Hi Chuck, just wanted pass along my thanks for your advise. I was unaware of the get info, which showed that there were separate path names, nested into an album folder. As soon as I removed them, the library actually corrected itself on its own. Just like it is supposed to…imagine that!
Once again thanks,
Jim
