Literally have the same issue and was just about to post haha, Im running Unraid Container of PMS
Server Version: 1.22.3.4392
When i disable them all and save and refresh it reverts back
I change to this
Hit Refresh and it reverts back to this
I really hope this is a bug and they aren’t actually forcing this garbage onto us.
Same thing happening to me. I don’t want to see this crap.
These have all auto enabled for me also!
@DaveBinM this is surely a bug, right?
Same here on Mac. Enabled>Disable-Save>Refresh>Enabled
wow, how to really annoy your original userbase!
Not a recent thing either.
No, this is absolutely new. Sometime within the last hour these auto enabled as they have always been disabled on my server.
They did warn of of a change in the way the home menu was going to be managed, I just never thought it meant they would force their subpar content onto us.
this setting change was pushed remotely to the server some how and now persistent.
Mine reverts to the same settings as yours.
status.plex.tv shows all green, but guessing there’s an issue with one of their hosts.
These settings are stored at Plex, not on the local Plex Media Server. I’ve a separate, non-Plex Pass account I use for testing. It is seeing the same thing and it does not have an associated Plex server.
Glad its not just me haha, Strange that it isnt stored locally? Feel it should be local and then it wont try reach out to find out if its enabled or not
Thanks for the update.
I don’t think so.
All that stuff streams from Plex hosts, not your local server. You do not need a Plex Media Server to access it.
Seems normal that it would be stored with your account info at plex.tv.
Edit: Go to mediaverse.plex.tv. You can stream movies and tv even without a plex.tv account/login.
Ahh True, Makes sense that its that way now haha
The http post requests when changing the settings appear to be getting what looks like it should be correct response e.g.
tv.plex.provider.epg: "opt_out"
But at least they are now aware, so hopefully they can revert what ever they just did.
Looks like it’s been fixed. Still ■■■■■■that they can just enable all online media sources when ever they feel like it.
It’s called a regression… bugs happen. Look at the bright side how fast Plex fixed it.
