Why content looks like 60fps in Samsung TV Plex app.

Hi everyone,

I have a Samsung Smart TV model UN55F6400 and I use Plex app in the smart-hub to play content. Everything works well but it looks like the videos are played in 60fps. It is not that exactly, because all my media files are in 30fps, but it is weird because the image have the same “effect” like a 60fps movie/tv show.

This is only happening when playing on that TV. I don’t have the same problem neither on the PC nor in tablets or cellphones.

Any thoughts?

Your tv has inbuilt ‘smoothing’ algorithms. Those are responsible for the ‘soap opera effect’ you’re observing.
While playing a video in the plex app, hit the ‘Tools’ button and disable some of these ‘enhancements’.
I don’t know your particular model so I cannot tell you how the option is named exactly.

I disabled the “Motion Plus” and it looks good now. Thanks.
