Why do i have to activate the app every time i use the app?

Every time i turn on my xbox and open the Plex app. It asks me to activate the app and provides me with a pin. This happens on both of my xbox ones. Its starting to get a little annoying. Anyone have a fix for this?

There was only one profile signed in to the xbox.

I've had this issue which was caused by the plex server (A windows PC running 0.9.10.xxx) changing it's IP address (I'm assuming). I have since updated the server to 0.9.11.xxx and the IP address of the server changed again (The cable modem was in flux at the time) but this time it didn't required me to re-activate.

I get this all the time.  It doesn't seem to be related to who's signed in or how many are signed in.  At this point I've put the PIN in about 6 times (the only profiles are mine or my wife's).  I've resorted to using the username and password but even that doesn't stop the screen from coming up.

I guess we can chalk this up to a bug. This is by far the only one of my xbox one apps that has this problem, which is quite annoying. I actually became a plex premium member just for the xbox one app. Hopefully this gets addressed asap. 

Not sure if it helps but did you try deleting and reinstalling the app ?

Or maybe this is a problem because you have 2 xbox ones ? - Try it with just installing and activating the app on one xbox.

Are you trying to use one plex account between multiple xbox live accounts? This is a known issue that plex has said they were going to look into, but as of current your plex account can only be associated with one xbox live account.

Im using it across multiple profiles associated with a single xbox live account. But yeah, I’m sure we’re talking about the same issue.

Have you tried assigning a static IP address of the server side?

I do not have this issue at all.

It's very annoying. I have a roku and use the PLEXTEST and it will do the same thing.  Basically, it's the newest plex for roku.  It keeps asking every other day to put in this pin as though I have never activated it.  I gave up on it after trying for 6 months and went back to the regular plex.  I just wish I could just login and they use that.  The pin causes more problems.
