Why do shows appear differently from each other in Recently Added?

Some shows appear as individual episodes while others appear as entire seasons and some appear both ways. Why is that?

My current “Recently Added” for TV shows a single episode of Friends, a single episode of Mom, an entire season of Will & Grace, an entire season of Friends, and an entire season of Mom - in that order.

Can this be controlled so that it always just shows the individual episode?

I think this happens when multiple consecutive episodes in the list belong to the same show/season. That is, if you add two episodes of Will & Grace from Season 1 after each other with no other shows being added inbetween, Plex will collapse them into “Season 1” to save space. If you add one episode of Friends Season 2 and one from Friends Season 3, you will simply see “Friends” (the entire show) instead of a season.

Often I also want to see the individual episodes, but I suppose the current functionality prevents “Recently Added” from being completely spammed by a single show if you add a season or two at the same time.

Not an unreasonable way to do it, if that’s accurate (seems likely). Still, it would be great if the multi episode stuff would have an indicator of “2” or “3” or whatever to show how many episodes are being lumped together in the Recently Added stream instead of the ENTIRE number of episodes for the show or the particular season.
