Why do some episodes on a certain device not have audio?

One season of a series does not have audio when played on a Samsung TV from a Plex server on a Macbook.

  • Episodes of other seasons of the series, played on the TV, do have audio.
  • Playing the same episode from Plex in a browser on the Macbook gives audio.
  • Playing the episode in VLC gives audio.

How can I diagnose the cause and fix this?
