I’m having an issue with subtitles (mostly forced) not appearing when I play movies from Plex Web in both Safari and Chrome. When this issue arises, it seems to only happen with some of my MP4 files. I’ll select the subtitle track before playing, but when the movie plays, no subtitles appear. The catch is that when the play the movie from my AppleTV 4, the subtitles appear perfectly. What gives? I should also note that this happens regardless if “Automatic,” “Only image formats,” or “Always” is selected under Burn Subtitles.
